Moorestown’s 9U District baseball team capped off a dominant weekend by sweeping the GVAA Memorial Day Tournament with a 9–3 win over Marlton in Voorhees Township. Manager Adam Gerber used six different pitchers over the three day, four game tournament. The mound work of Danny Gerber, Eric Schmoll, Nick Yedman, Evan Buckley, Jack Jones and Wyatt Atkinson was the key to each game.
The offense kicked in with 30 runs in the four games, led by Timmy Gannon, Dylan Lee, Jude Gilhool, Jimmy Fletcher, Michael Clark and Ajay Bhalodia. The defending State Champs — managed by Adam Gerber and coaches Dan Gannon, Fran Lee and Glenn Jones — now prepare for the 15th annual Moorestown Invitational Tournament on June 8th as they set their sites on another winning summer.
