Area cooks are invited to pull out their baking supplies, tie on their aprons and put their best cupcakes forward at the Medford Arts Center’s second annual Ultimate Cupcake Challenge at the Medford Art, Wine and Music Festival on Sunday, June 3.
Cupcakes must be delivered to the Arts Center between 11 a.m. and noon. The judges will choose the winners at 1 p.m. The Arts Center is located at 18 N. Main St.
All bakers ages 16 and older are invited to submit their favorite cupcakes. One dozen of each flavor should be submitted, with a limit of three different recipes per applicant.
Each batch must be labeled with the baker’s name, information on the flavor and whether nuts are included. The entry fee of $5 per cupcake variety must be made in advance and may be made online at www.ArtsinMedford.org or by calling (856) 988–9524 by May 31.
Visitors to the MAC will be able to taste the cupcakes, which will be for sale following the judging. Children may also meet a live rabbit and have their photo taken with the bunny for a small fee.
Steve the Balloon Artist will make kids’ favorite animals for them to take home at no charge.
