Call it a dynasty for Moorestown Friends School

For the second year in a row, the Moorestown Friends School Consumer Bowl team has advanced to the state championship by winning the 16th annual New Jersey Southern Regional Consumer Bowl, held on Tuesday, April 17 at Burlington County College. The MFS championship team consists of senior captain Amanda Connell, junior Spencer Bard, junior Aviana Duca, sophomore Kirsten Mullen and junior Trinh Son. The team is coached by Science Department Chair Barb Kreider.

Also competing yesterday were teams from Oakcrest High School, Ocean City High School and Winslow Township High School. They advance to face the central and northern regional champions in the state championship to be held at the Hughes Complex in Trenton on May 21.

After making a sudden championship splash in their first appearance last year, the MFS Consumer Bowl team once again captured the Burlington County competition in February, topping eleven other Burlington County school.

The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs hosts the game show like competition, which pits students against one another in county, regional and state rounds.
