The Moorestown Soccer Club’s U11 Girls Lightning Team was recently named the South Jersey Girls Soccer League’s 2011 U-11 Olympic Conference Champions. This is an outstanding accomplishment and the only team to win the Olympic Conference in at least eight years. These girls and their coaches are the epitome of teamwork. The Lightning Team only gave up four goals in all their league games while all the players split time in goal because they do not have a full-time goalie. Additionally, Team Lightning made a good run in the state cup, all the way to the sweet 16.
