This is the 10th anniversary of No Place for Hate in the Anti Defamation League’s Eastern PA/Southern NJ/Delaware region.

Implemented in more than 170 schools, communities and college campuses throughout Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, No Place for Hate empowers people to challenge racism and all forms of bigotry.

No Place for Hate Week is a chance for schools and communities across the region to celebrate their accomplishments towards creating safer, more inclusive environments and to kick off their programs for the year.

Hundreds of schools and communities across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware will simultaneously be celebrating this week.

Joyce Kilmer Elementary School in Cherry Hill is implementing a project entitled 1,200 Acts of Respect.

The students took part in learning lessons about respect during the first week of October, which was designated as the Week of Respect in the state.

Each of the students were then given a color-coded template that required them to describe how they show respect for their selves, others, and property.

During No Place for Hate Week, the templates will be hung around the school to create a rainbow display of various acts of respect. After all 400 or so sheets are up, it will constitute over 1,200 acts of respect.
