100 and still going strong

On Saturday, Aug. 20, Harriet Venzie, formally of Moorestown, celebrated her 100th birthday at the home of Felix and Agneiszka Polich on Central Avenue. In attendance were all three of her children, Fred, a graduate of Moorestown High School in 1960, David, a graduate in 1969, and Dianne Feltoon, a graduate of 1970. Harriet’s grandchildren and great-granchildren came in from San Diego, Los Angeles, New York City and Philadelphia. A total of eight nieces and nephews traveled from Wales, England, and Perth, Scotland, her birthplace. Friends from as far as Germany and Corpus Christi, Texas took the total attendance to over 100. On Sunday, Dianne and Alan Feltoon of Moorestown hosted a family brunch at the Riverton Country Club.

Harriet, currently residing in Marlton, moved to Moorestown from Merchantville with her husband, Walt (deceased), in 1950. Still living independently, Harriet regularly travels to Moorestown to visit with family and friends. She has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church on Bridgeboro Road for over 60 years.
