A clean car for a good cause? Yes, please

On Saturday, Aug. 20, The Evergreens in Moorestown will be holding a car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the front circle of their main campus at 309 Bridgeboro Road. Open to the public, the car wash is priced $5 per car. The day will include special activities, and refreshments will be available for purchase.

All proceeds from the event will be going towards “Ross’ Racers” involvement in the American Cancer Society’s 2011 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk happening on October 23 in Pennsauken. Each year, a group of staff members, family and friends team up to walk as “Ross’ Racers” in honor of the late Mary Ellen Ross — former Vice President of Health Services at The Evergreens who lost her courageous battle with breast cancer in August 2008. “Ross’ Racers” is aiming to raise $7,500 this year.
