Old Marlton Pike resurfacing set to begin Monday

Resurfacing of a 0.7-mile portion of Old Marlton Pike (County Route 600) in Evesham that runs parallel with Route 70 between the Camden-Burlington County border to Centre Boulevard is expected to begin Monday, Aug. 15, according to the Burlington County Freeholders.

The project involves milling and overlay, and is expected to take about two weeks to complete. Traffic will be maintained during construction and motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes during the work.

Construction is being performed by Neshaminy Constructors Inc./American Asphalt Co, Inc. — A Joint Venture, West Collingswood, as part of the county’s 2010 State Funded Overlay Program. A total 29.7 miles of county roads in 17 municipalities are being resurfaced through the $6.8 million program.
