Burlington County Health Department is asking for residents’ help

The Burlington County Health Department is asking residents to help change the future of Burlington County health. As part of an initiative to gain input on the future needs of county residents, the Health Department is asking residents for their opinion on what issues they feel are important in the community and how they perceive quality of life. All county residents are encouraged to participate.

“Having residents from all walks of life participate in this survey is very important,” Burlington County Freeholder Mary Ann O’Brien said. “Our residents will benefit from the results of this survey because we will be able to target specific programs to their needs.”

To access the survey, please visit the Burlington County Health Department website atwww.co.burlington.nj.us/health. Please click on the Burlington County Community Health & Quality of Life Survey link under the Announcements section in the middle of the page.

“This survey is a great way for our residents to express their views on their own personal health and to examine what types of health support and guidance would be ideal for the future,” Burlington County Health Officer Robert Gogat said.

The County’s Community Themes and Strengths Assessment will provide an understanding of the issues residents feel are important in the community and how they perceive their quality of life. It allows them the opportunity to identify the assets they have that can be used to improve community health. The survey should take approximately five to 10 minutes to complete.

Survey results, along with other data, will be used to revise the countywide Community Health Improvement Plan. All responses are strictly confidential and participation is voluntary. Any questions about the survey can be directed to John Sivon at 265–5467.
