Voorhees woman, 73, killed in auto crash in Cherry Hill

A 73-year-old Voorhees woman was killed in a car crash in Cherry Hill this afternoon.

According to the Cherry Hill Police Department, Josephine Antolik was a passenger in a 1997 Lincoln Towncar driven by her husband, Dr. John Antolik, that was attempting to make a left turn from Evesham Road to Springdale Road when it was struck in the passenger side door area by a 2008 Nissan Rogue. Patrol Officers Harrison and Panno responded to the scene and performed CPR until Josephine was transported to JFK Stratford, where she was pronounced deceased at 11:54 a.m.

Police said Joseph Trasatti, an 84-year-old Berlin resident, was operating the Nissan and traveling westbound on Evesham Road in the center lane when it entered the intersection and collided with the Lincoln. Trasatti was also transferred to JFK Stratford with minor chest injuries. John Antolik was transported to Cooper Trauma with head injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Traffic Safety Squad. The Cherry Hill Police Department is asking for the public’s help in the investigation. If you witnessed the accident, contact Sgt. Michael Rann at (856) 432–8856.
