Picnic on the Plaza

Wednesday, July 20

The community and residents of all ages are invited to join in on celebrating summer with Voorhees Town Center’s new “Picnic on the Plaza” monthly event series. Families can enjoy a casual night together filled with music from Philly’s Phever band, a balloon sculptor, face-painting for kids by Rizzieri Aveda School for Beauty and Wellness, a complimentary refreshing massage service for adults by Rizzieri and special giveaways.

“Picnic on the Plaza” takes place Wednesday, July 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. outside at the special events plaza adjacent to Macy’s. (In the case of inclement weather, it will take place in the mall’s food court area.) The “Picnic on the Plaza” continues Wednesday, August 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring the Party Gras Band.

AAUW Book Sale

Saturday, July 23 — Sunday, July 31

The American Association of University Women (AAUW), college-educated women dedicated to promoting equity for women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change, returns to Voorhees Town Center for its popular annual used book sale, Saturday, July 23 through Sunday, July 31. The charitable sale takes place in Boscov’s court and features a wide variety of used books — from the latest releases to the old favorites — for readers all ages at terrific prices. Throughout the year, books are donated by individuals and organizations from the Camden County region, and then volunteers sort, price, pack and transport for the big sale. Proceeds benefit the AAUW and are used to support the Association’s grants, Camden County Branch grant programs, and local education projects.
