Voorhees Town Center invites the community and residents of all ages to join in on celebrating summer with the mall’s new “Picnic on the Plaza” monthly event series. Families can enjoy casual nights together filled with a strolling four-piece band, a balloon sculptor, face-painting for kids by Rizzieri Aveda School for Beauty and Wellness, a complimentary refreshing massage service for adults by Rizzieri and special giveaways. “Picnic on the Plaza” takes place Wednesdays, June 29, July 20, and August 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the special events plaza outside Macy’s court. (In the case of inclement weather, it will take place in the mall’s food court area.)
“With the recent addition of the town hall and more retailers and restaurants opening soon, Voorhees Town Center is truly emerging as the new ‘downtown’ of the community,” said Maria Umbriac, mall marketing director. “We hope people will first pick up dinner from one of the mall’s many eateries, and then exchange their receipts to receive a free picnic blanket to use to enjoy a relaxing picnic dinner together on the Plaza and an evening of family fun.”
As summer gears up, Voorhees Town Center’s traditional, main street setting is the perfect place to spend time together with family and friends. Before heading to the special events plaza, stop by the mall’s food court or Coffee Works on the boulevard for dinner to-go. Whether mom chooses a salad from Salad Works or dad and the kids opt for Chick-fil-A, visit the welcome table, conveniently located on the plaza, to redeem your $30 in combined same-day food retailer receipts and receive a free picnic blanket. Plus, kids will have the chance to spin the prize wheel for a free giveaway.
