Volunteer work will teach you valuable life skills

Contact of Burlington County has an ongoing volunteer opportunity for residents.

Volunteers have the opportunity to give caring, compassionate support to people who have an immediate need, as well as get fulfillment and enhanced communication skills that they will use throughout life.

No experience is necessary — training is provided, which includes active listening, crisis skills, self awareness and data components. Volunteer can sign up according to their own schedule, there is 24/7 availability.

A crisis helpline training class orientation is June 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a training class from July 18–22 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Contact training is registered with the state Department of Education for professional development credits.

Anyone 18 years or older, can call 856–234–5484 x101, E-mail [email protected] or visit www.contactburlco.org for information and applications.
