The following items are on file with the Haddonfield Police Department:
• It’s safe to say that if you’re so drunk you fall asleep behind the wheel of your car you deserve to be arrested for a DUI.
An officer patrolling Ellis Street on May 1 at 7:01 a.m. came upon a passed out female behind the wheel of a blue car. He contacted the Haddonfield EMS crew and examined the girl, who appeared to be very intoxicated.
She was placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI. She was administered a breath test and allegedly had a .19 blood alcohol content. Anything over a .08 BAC is considered to be intoxicated.
She was charged with a DUI, processed at the station, and released to a friend.
• A Lincoln Avenue resident flagged down an officer on April 30 at 9:59 p.m. for a report of criminal mischief. The resident said that he saw a group of juveniles break a pane of glass behind the Lincoln Avenue Apartment complex.
The officer inspected the scene and found two, 12 by 18 inch panes broken. There are no suspects in the case.
• A resident came into the department on April 26 at 11:52 a.m. to report an incident of a customer passing off a bad check for insufficient funds. She said the suspect gave her a check for almost $50 that was returned because of lack of funds.
• A Bancroft program associate reported to police on May 4 at 3:06 p.m. to report a fight on the campus. The associate said two adult males, both with brain injuries, were fighting each other in a van.
When the officer arrived on the scene the incident was finished. Nobody else in the van could report who started the incident and nobody filed an incident report.
• A Homestead Avenue resident reported to police on May 5 at 9:25 a.m. that a large potted plant was stolen from the side track of her house the night before.
The victim said the plant was filled with soil and various flowers. It was valued at $150.
