Peace Pole dedication to be held Dec. 12

Christ Presbyterian Church in Marlton has erected Peace Poles as part of the Peace Pole Project of the World Peace Prayer Society.

One main pole and 10 smaller poles have been handcrafted with peace in a total of 55 different languages etched on the poles.

The community is invited to participate in the service of dedication on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 3:30 p.m., at the church on 515 E. Main St. Invitations have been extended to area houses of worship, governmental leaders and area news media. The poles are to further the focus on peace — not only in the world — but also in our local community and in our individual lives.
