Borough commissioners have announced a public meeting for Wednesday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall, where Heyer and Gruel Associates will present the completed redevelopment plan for the Bancroft site.
Borough Administrator Sharon McCullough said the borough commissioned Heyer and Gruel Associates to form a redevelopment plan for the Bancroft property.
The entire plan should be available for the public before the meeting, she said, so attendees will be able to ask informed questions and make comments based on the report.
There is no imminent action on the horizon for the Bancroft property, McCullough said, but a redevelopment plan is needed to limit and control what can or cannot be constructed on the land.
The property is still for sale, McCullough said. In the past, Bancroft Neurohealth representatives have said the buildings are not capable of supporting the type of growth the organization is experiencing.
The buildings at the current facility in the borough are more than 40 years old.
