HSM Fall General Meeting Oct. 8

The Historical Society of Moorestown will hold their Fall General Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Club Room at the Moorestown Community House. Everyone is invited to join us for a presentation on the clothing of women in the Quaker, Mennonite and Schwenkfelder sects in early America.

Candace Kintzer Perry is our guest presenter. Perry is the Curator of Collections of the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center in Pennsburg, Pa.

She counts her own Pennsylvania German roots for her lifelong interest in Pennsylvania German history and culture. Perry received her BA in History from Penn State and her MA in American History and Museum Studies from Duquesne University. She resides in Hereford Township in northeastern Berks County, Pa.

Please join us for a special celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Historical Society of Moorestown after Perry’s presentation. Refreshments will be served.

Celebrating its 40th year in October 2009, The Historical Society of Moorestown is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the history of Moorestown and providing opportunities for the community to learn about the past and further understand and appreciate the history of Moorestown and surrounding area. The Society’s “home” is located at the Smith-Cadbury Mansion, 12 High Street, Moorestown, NJ.
